While we all do our best to take care of each other these days and #stayhome, we must take care of ourselves, too. We have a bit more time on our hands for other things, like giving our skin some extra tender loving care.

Especially, when working from home, we can sometimes forget about taking a moment for ourselves. A proper pamper session really helps switching off from a day at the desk though. Create a spa feeling in the comfort of your own home with just a few simple items. Take a bath and add a nourishing oil, treat your dry skin with lots of moisture and set the mood for a calm break.

Nothing creates a spa atmosphere like scented candles. They fill the room with a wonderful aroma and light it up with a warm glow. If you close your eyes and breathe in, for a moment, you can almost dream yourself away to brighter and warmer days.

If you want to treat yourself with a body scrub or a face mask you don’t need to pop to the shops. Why don’t you get creative with something you already have at home? A natural body scrub, which leaves your skin glowing, is easily made from some coffee ground, olive oil and brown sugar. Another suggestion is a homemade face mask for a brighter complexion. This is simply mixed together. All you need is 1 tablespoon of turmeric, 1 tablespoon of water and half a tablespoon of honey. Just apply the mask to your face and neck, let it dry for 20 minutes, and wash it off.

Also this is a great opportunity to give your hands some more attention. They are desperate for hydration. Make sure to keep them moisturised by applying hand lotion or hand cream after every time you have washed them.

These little rituals can really help to take a step back and find a moment to breathe during these crazy times. We hope you are ok and stay well.
