With bonfire night around the corner, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate the last outdoor moments of the year. We’ve taken our setup to a grassy, open space, surrounded by nature’s last touches of green. The fire pit is at the heart of our gathering, its smoke mingling perfectly with the earthy, layered notes of the incense. The scent, reminiscent of woodland, amber, and a touch of balsam, perfectly complements the rustic outdoor experience and adds an extra dimension to this cosy autumn evening.
Our fire pit supper was provided by our host, Decca, who curated a menu perfect for fireside dining. With a homegrown touch, we feasted on Gloucester Old Spot pork chops sourced directly from her father’s farm, accompanied by their family-made cider. Seasonal dishes like chargrilled English asparagus, heritage tomatoes with wild garlic dressing, and homemade sauces brought fresh, rustic flavours to the evening.
Our evening feast came together over the flames, with fresh asparagus, grilled lettuce, and tender pork chops sizzling on the fire pit.
