Jewellery: Timeless Staples

We at Nordic Muse often ask ourselves: What makes a piece of jewellery a timeless staple? Is it the material? The design? A sentimental value? We think it’s probably a bit of all of these factors.

Firstly, and maybe most importantly, the item has to be made from long-lasting materials. Secondly, the design determines how future-proof a piece of jewellery will be. As much as we enjoy looking at trends, it is classic and minimal shapes that make it into our collection. You just can’t fault clean and geometric forms.

Lastly, it is the sentimental value each piece of jewellery carries.  A ring you treated yourself to after a work accomplishment, a necklace your partner gifted you for your last anniversary – as soon as we’ve connected an occasion to a specific item this piece will stay with us forever.
